- Modular design: These models often consist of pluggable individual components (solar panel, electrolyzer, gas storage tank, and fuel cell). This allows the entire energy cycle to be set up step by step.
- Recording measurement data: Modern teaching models have interfaces for data acquisition. Learners can record current-voltage characteristics, calculate efficiency levels, and analyze the influence of parameters such as gas flow or load changes directly on the computer.
- Safety: They are designed so that even laypeople can operate them safely without any danger from high pressures or voltages.
