The conductivity measuring cell is a device for taking a membrane sample in the single cell and carrying out four-electrode conductivity tests.
The conductivity cell, with built-in membrane sample, fits exactly between the anode and cathode plates of your single cell and utilises the existing gas channels of the cell.
The single cell and its fuel cell test stand are used to control the sample temperature, sample pressure, gas composition and humidity.
The advantage of four-electrode conductivity measurement is the ability to separate the following parameters:
- Voltage drop due to ion formation
- Voltage drop due to ion flow If only voltage drop due to ion flux is taken into account, a very accurate determination of membrane conductivity (and resistance) can be made.
The CdC-115 conductivity measuring cell is designed for operation with the ElectroChem single cell (for 5 and 25 cm²).
A separate test stand for gassing, temperature etc. must be available
Can be used in a temperature-controlled and humidified chamber, but also in a beaker.
